You know I watch this, and I'm a realist. I'm a pragmatist. I'm not a boyscout.

However.. when it becomes a circumstance where:

And then that society vanishes, in a spread of ruins and slaughter.

"Do you wish to know whether that day is coming? Watch money. Money is the barometer of a society's virtue. When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion--when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing--when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors--when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you--when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice--you may know that your society is doomed. Money is so noble a medium that is does not compete with guns and it does not make terms with brutality. It will not permit a country to survive as half-property, half-loot.

And then we find those who identified this issue VERY EARLY.. and had the SEC contact them a deflationelation@yahoo.com or call them at home, God forbid that they were not identified and targeted for some simple telling of truths that served none.. served none but a few... was a genuine national security crisis unfolding... or in the case of some who simply "tuned out" when these truths became impossible to ignore.

Who is the threat to our nation? Some neanderthal in a cave ranting around the globe or the man who destroys wealth as a game???

Some people ought to be asking some damn tough questions... not to chase somebody through the sewers of Paris for a loaf of bread.. no... to make sure that this doesn't happen again.
